The Club was started over 40 years ago by a group of friends who wanted to paint in an atmosphere of friendship & mutual support, and this continues to this day. We meet in the Beavers Room at Tadley Community Centre, Newchurch Road.
Our members, who all live in the local area, work on their own projects in a wide range of styles & mediums, with help & encouragement from each other. Our more experienced members are always willing to guide newer members. We hold occasional demonstrations & workshop throughout the year along with various social events and hold a yearly exhibition where Members can display and sell their works.
We also have a monthly theme for which members can submit a work – we then vote for this at a meeting and over the year a score is kept for each member, with the winner for the year being announced at our AGM in February. The themes for this year can be seen here THIS IS WHERE I WANT TO LINK OTHER PAGE .
We have 3 types of Members – Full, Associate & Student: Full (£60 pa) can participate in all club activities; Associates (£20) can come to a session (for a small fee), submit works for the exhibition (possibly subject to a limit set each year) and join in on events. Student (£30) members must be 14-18 & be accompanied by a Full member.
We welcome new members of all standards from beginner upwards.
TABAC meets every week on TUESDAY from 10.30am to 12.30pm
