The Sustainable Baughurst team has investigated a number of possible opportunities to establish a community led energy project (e.g. community owned solar, local tariff or group buying type scheme) but none have yet been adequately viable in terms of economic benefits or manageable risk profile to warrant further development. We remain open to and interested in any other opportunities that come forward and would be pleased to input our collective expertise in supporting such projects

At the Baughurst Society AGM on 14th January 2025, Alison Zarecky from the Basingstoke Climate Change Team presented slides that described the free energy and retrofit support they provide. Please see the slides for details.

Can the excellent slides from the Baughurst Society meeting 14/1/25 be added to this page. They were excellent, informative and very relevant to the people who live in Baughurst. Perhaps have a link to Vanessa Richards excellent blog on Sustainable Silchester.
