The aims of Baughurst Repair Café

  • To provide social, economic and environmental benefits to communities in the Baughurst area by offering a repair and advice service for portable household and personal items which have either failed to work properly or become damaged, broken or torn enabling the reusing of the item hereby reducing landfill waste.
  • This practical monthly service is to be delivered by a team of experienced and competent volunteers, in a friendly and safe environment. To support the goals and reflect the Ethos of Repair Café ( https://www.repaircafe.org ) and be part of the national and international community for Repair Café.
  • To provide a safe and sociable environment in which to offer simple refreshments (such as hot drinks and biscuits) to people using the repair service.
  • To raise awareness and to update the local community about sustainability issues and solutions.
Baughurst Repair cafe repairs Electrical and Electronic, IT Equipment, Woodwork Repairs, Textiles / Soft toys, Costume Jewellery Repairs, Bicycle Repairs, General / Mechanical Repairs. We also offer, Tool Sharpening, Mobile Phone Advice and Troubleshooting and Ultrasonic Cleaning. 
People are welcome from the surrounding villages of Inhurst, Ashford Hill, Axmansford, Wolverton Common, Wolverton, Wasing, Brimpton, Aldermaston, Woolhampton, Tadley, Pamber End, Ramsdell, Upper Wootton, Sherborne St John, Chineham, Bromley, Fair Oak Green, Stratfield Turgis, Turgis Green, Sherfield on Loddon, Heckfield, Beech Hill, Grazeley, Grazeley Green, Silchester, Padworth Common, Mortimer Common, Mortimer, Burghfield Common, Burghfield, Sheffield Bottom, Theale, Calcot, Spencers Wood, Ryeish Green, Shinfield, Whitley Wood, Beenham, Bradfield Southend, Upper Bucklebury, Cold Ash, Thatcham, Greenham, Headley, Kingsclear, Ecchinswell, Hannington, North Oakley, Ashe Warren, Overton, Oakley, Newfound, Worting, and Old Basing.
Baughurst Repair Cafe also invite people from Reading, Basingstoke, Newbury and Hungerford.

Repair Café Request Form

This will allow us to register your item for repair with the group and enable us to prepare for its arrival.

The form is only active from 1st of the month to
14:00 the day before the event.
